California is open carry, but you can't open carry a loaded gun. Can't be a mag in it, or a round in the chamber.

I'm sure theres a proverb along the lines of 'A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.'
However, sometimes these guys don't do the cause any favors.
Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
But if your going to do something like this, don't bring your fat buddy along..& actually have something of substance to say when the press shows up. Please use proper sentence structure. If you're going to become an improptu spokesman for something controversial you believe in , you need to be beyond reproach in your delivery & outward appearance. These guys came off as total sterotypical gun-nut tool bags.

that's probably has a little to do with the fact that they are the stereotype.

In all honesty, I sometimes fit the sterotype myself. Depends on the T-shirt I'm wearing. But I try to never talk like those guys. Their answer should have been as to why they were doing this should have been "Because California rarly issues CCWs" or words to that effect in addition to the ever-so-predicable "because it's my right".

The more I read up on this issue, the more it makes me realize how irrelevant the Brady Campaign is becoming. Attacking Starbucks is literally all they have right now, to keep their name in the news.
